Two flood warnings have been issued for rivers in Suffolk as previous alerts across the county remain in the aftermath of Storm Henk.

The Environment Agency has said flooding is expected for the Rattlesden River and the River Brett. 

Areas most at risk are Lower Street in Rattlesden, the Ford at Wash Lane, Onehouse, around Ford Bridge at Combs Ford, Lavenham, Brent Eleigh, Monks Eleigh, Chelsworth, Semer, Kersey Mill, Hadleigh, Upper Layham, and Shelley including the A1071 at Hadleigh and the A1141.

As well as the flood warnings, eight flood alerts remain in place for the county, including the River Stour in Sudbury and the upper Stour in Haverhill. 

The Environment Agency is advising people who live in the areas most at risk to take care on riverside footpaths and not put themselves in unnecessary danger. 

The situation will continue to be monitored and a spokesman for the agency said: "We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate.

"The forecast is for continued unsettled weather over the next couple of days with further rain showers through the week."
