The weather warning covers the whole of the county and winds of up to 70mph are expected to hit parts of the region on Tuesday.
The warning states that there is a good chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
Damage to buildings could also take place as the Met Office warns some roof tiles may get blown off during high winds.
