Parish councillors a Suffolk village have said they are "not shocked" police discovered a cannabis factory in the area.
Officers were called to a property on Tuesday in Kings Road in Glemsford.
Upon entry, police found a cannabis factory and also discovered the electricity supply had been tampered with.
Chairman of the Parish Council Stephen Plumb said: “I’m not shocked. It’s a very big village, nearly 4,000 people. These things are not unusual it happens all the time in the local town in Sudbury.”
Parish Councillor Maggie Leopold added: “There was one in the village a few years ago I believe.
“We’ve had our share of these problems because they are everywhere.”
A spokesman for Suffolk police said inquiries are ongoing and anyone who has any information should contact Sudbury Police quoting the crime reference number 37/73011/23.
