A man in his 20s has died after a serious crash on the A14 in the early hours of this morning.
Suffolk police were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash, involving a yellow Lotus Emira, at around 12.25am on the A14 heading westbound between junctions 45 for Blackthorpe and 44 for Bury St Edmunds today.
Fire crews and the ambulance service also attended the scene of the crash, in which a car had left the road and crashed into a tree.
A man, aged in his 20s, died at the scene.
The passenger, also a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
The A14 remained closed for nine hours while the policing teams investigated the cause of the crash and cleared the road.
