Tides are much higher due to the strong winds along the coast, and both the road and surrounding marshland are expected to flood.
This follows flooding last week along the A12 in Yoxford, which saw an emergency closure put in place along the major route.
Businesses in Southwold are also warned to prepare for flooding due to the high tides, particularly those located near Southwold Harbour, Ferry Road, the bottom of Queens Road and Constitution Hill, North Road, the bottom of Pier Avenue and Mights Road in Southwold, and Bridge Road and Hillside Road in Reydon.
Bawdsey Quay and Felixstowe Ferry are also set to flood between 6.15pm and 8.15pm today.
Those who start to experience flooding in their home or business are encouraged to move vehicles to higher ground if it’s safe to do so, move important items upstairs or to a safe place in their property, and turn off gas, electricity and water supplies if it’s safe to do so.
