5 videos filmed in Suffolk which have gone viral this year

From the doors of a major supermarket being left open to a food reviewer being left stunned by a town's burger restaurant, here are five videos which have gained millions of views this year. 

Doors left open at Marks & Spencer in Ipswich

Marks & Spencer in Ipswich went viral in March after the doors to the store were left open.

A video filmed by Zaid Jamel amassed more than 130,000 likes and more than one million views after he noticed the doors were still open after the shop was meant to have closed.

A spokesman for the retailer said the incident was due to an "error" with one of the doors.

Restaurant receives high praise

Bury St Edmunds chicken restaurant Peck Fried Chicken saw a huge growth in sales after a review of their restaurant by a famous TikTok reviewer. 

The Food Review Club's visit to the St John's Street eatery amassed more than 500,000 views in October. 

He described it as "fried chicken from the Gods" and "unbeatable", scoring his order 9.8 out of 10.

The review of Peck was not the only video by Food Review Club in Suffolk to make headlines on social media. 

Edis of Ely, also in St John's Street, saw its sales double after Matthew Binge, creator of the page, described its scotch egg as a "banger" in the video, which was viewed by more than 1.6million people.

Leiston Christmas video

One of the most viewed videos in Suffolk this year involved a festive makeover of a Suffolk town. 

Louise Church's shots around Leiston amassed nearly 24 million views, with one gaining over 19 million views alone. 

The self-proclaimed Christmas lover used a festive filter to make the scene more Christmas-themed.

King Charles letter to school

Children at a primary school in Sudbury received a letter from King Charles III and the Queen after their video celebrating the Coronation went viral. 

In the video, St Gregory CEVC Primary School pupils George and Olivia were dressed up as the King and Queen, while other students were waving and celebrating.
