A business that launched at Bury St Edmunds market in June is topping off an incredible first six months of business by opening a permanent outlet.

Wok Wraps has been spotted in several Suffolk locations, including markets and pop-ups in pubs, since launching on June 14.

Now the Chinese fusion wraps can be found at its new permanent home in Beach Street in Felixstowe, where the unit opened for business on Friday, December 15.

"It's been mad," said business owner Jamie Burgis.

"The business quickly exploded on social media and we have grown from there."

Mr Burgis has also been booked for celebrity parties, including TikTok legend 'Big John' Fisher, who served Wok Wraps at a party to celebrate Johnny Fisher - 'Big John' Fisher's son - winning the Southern-area Heavyweight Champion title.

The reputation of the wrap company was evidenced when Mr Burgis opened the Beach Street unit.

"It has been mad - really overwhelming," said Mr Burgis.

"We sold out on Saturday and couldn't keep up with demand.

"We had to close for an hour just to get back on track with food preparation.

"It has been a really great way to end the year."

The opening of the Beach Street location has been a bit of a whirlwind for the business, which was only offered the unit two weeks ago.

"We moved in after a week," said Mr Burgis.

"We were able to move quickly as the previous owners had been serving Vietnamese street food so the kitchen was fully kitted out and ready to go.

"It is one big family at Beach Street and everyone has been really friendly and supportive.

"I love it here."

For now, Wok Wraps is open from Thursday to Sunday, 12pm to 9pm, but could extend the opening hours in the summer months.
