A person walking along an east Suffolk beach this morning found a very cute surprise.
A seal pup was spotted lying on the sand close to Southwold pier on Tuesday morning.
A witness said she waited and watched the seal return to the water's edge and, eventually, back into the sea.

A spokesman for Suffolk Wildlife Trust said the pup appears to be a grey seal.
Grey seals and Harbour seals are common in the North Sea and are often sighted along the Suffolk coast.
Both species of seals are protected in Britain under the Conservation of Seals Act 1970.
