The highly-anticipated new Primark store in Bury St Edmunds is creeping closer to completion as the team has now revealed when it will be opening.
Primark originally said that it would be opening towards the end of 2023 and the store signs went up in October.
The 33,300 sq ft store has remained empty since Debenhams closed in the west Suffolk town in May 2021.

However, Primark has now confirmed that it will be opening in March 2024, with recruitment happening from Monday.
The retailer will be recruiting more than 100 new team members for roles including retail assistants, stockroom colleagues, and visual merchandisers, with start dates as early as February to help get the store ready for the big opening.
Philippa Nibbs, Primark UK director of sales for London and the south east, said: "We can’t wait for the doors to open in the spring and it’s been great to see the excitement building in the community ahead of the store opening.
"The construction team have been hard at work over the last few months and we’re now reaching another important milestone as we look to recruit and build a team that will make the opening a success."
The exact opening date will be confirmed nearer the time.
Next year will mark 50 years of Primark in Great Britain and the Bury St Edmunds branch is set to be the retailer's 193rd store in the UK.
