Emergency services are trying to rescue two people trapped in a car submerged in water up to its roof in Semer.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue were called to Overgang Road in Semer just before 1.30pm. 

Two people are trapped in a car that is submerged in water up to its roof. 

Three engines from Princes Street were in attendance and water operatives were deployed. 

A stop time for the fire crews was called at 2.10pm.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said they were called to reports of a car that went off-road and into a ford. 

One person was treated by paramedics at the scene.
