New tenants are being sought for a much-loved pub in a Suffolk town.
Greene King has confirmed it is on the hunt for new partners to take over The Macebearer pub, Bury St Edmunds, after it was revealed the current tenant, Sean Driscoll, would be moving on from the establishment.
A spokesman for the brewer said: "After investing in the Macebearer over the past couple of years, we are now recruiting for a new partner to join us at the pub.
"We would like to thank Sean for his time running the pub since it reopened in 2021."
It has been confirmed the current tenant would continue to run the pub until next Spring while Greene King searches for a new a partner to takeover.
Mr Driscoll runs a number of other pubs in the town and in Suffolk, including The Masons Arm in Whiting Street and The Kings Arms.
