Two areas in Suffolk have been named among the UK's top 100 breathtaking 'off the beaten' track locations.

Experts from Jeep and Ordnance Survey have teamed up to create a list of the most beautiful and secluded areas across the country.

While Suffolk is full of stunning villages and towns, two areas have featured in the new interactive map.

Shingle Street, in the Suffolk Coast & Heaths National Landscape, was highlighted for its stunning scenery making it a great place to relax.

Writing in the guide, experts added: "A sunrise swim here is like being on another planet."

Staverton Thicks was also selected due to the "fairy-tale atmosphere" that is felt when walking through the rural woodland located between Orford and Woodbridge.

The guide also features three other locations in the East of England.

Norfolk's Blakeney Point and Sheringham Beach were selected by experts, while the Old Knobbley tree tourist attraction in Mistley was Essex's only representative.

Twenty-one areas in both Scotland and Wales are also featured among the top 100.
