Huge swathes of fly-tipping have been spotted in a rural road on the Suffolk border.
Mattresses, tables, office chairs and several boxes of rubbish have been dumped in Long Lane, just outside of Clare.
The lane, which is used as a footpath, is almost entirely blocked by the fly-tipping.
Councillor Tom Cunningham, cabinet member for transformation, the environment and customer services and deputy eader at Braintree District Council, said: “Fly tippers are at it again, dumping waste in our district.
"We and our residents do not appreciate this illegal activity which has a detrimental impact on our local environment just to suit their own way of avoiding the procedures to dispose of waste in the correct manner.
“Our Street Scene Protection Officers and Rapid Response Team visited the location to investigate and cleared the waste. They will search for evidence to see if the perpetrator or perpetrators can be identified."
