The fire service are at the scene of an serious incident at the Port of Felixstowe.
Firefighters were called to the port at about 1pm on Tuesday.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said crews had been called to an incident involving a crane.
They added: "A fire has broken out in the high voltage electrical room in a crane."
One person was assessed at the scene.
A spokesman for the Port of Felixstowe said: "There was a small electrical fire in the engine house of one of the cranes on Trinity Terminal.
"The fire has been extinguished .There were no injuries and no significant damage to the crane."
