A Suffolk road prone to flooding is set to remain shut for emergency works.
Barking Road in Needham Market has been hit repeatedly by flooding since Storm Babet in mid-October.
Now, after a further instance this morning, Suffolk Highways has confirmed that the road will remain closed until Friday, December 15, so that urgent drainage work can be undertaken.
⚠️ To allow for urgent drainage works to be undertaken, an emergency road closure has been installed along Barking Road, #NeedhamMarket and will be in place until 15 December.

Further details to follow. #Suffolk
Heavy rainfall from both Storm Babet and Storm Ciarán has meant water on the road is unable to drain away.
Residents will be diverted through nearby villages while the work takes place.
