A mid Suffolk road which has been hit repeatedly by flooding since Storm Babet is once again under water. 

Drivers using Barking Road in Needham Market reported large stretches of flood water on Friday morning. 

It is the latest occasion that road has experienced flooding since mid-October.

Heavy rainfall from both Storm Babet and Storm Ciarán has meant water on the road is unable to drain away. 

Residents have been diverting through local villages as a result of the floods. 

Willisham resident Laurence Temple said earlier this month: "The water is not going anywhere. It has never completely gone down since the recent floods and every time it rains, the flood rises and makes it impassable again.

"It's been a nightmare. We take our children to school in Creeting and we are going from Willisham to Somersham, Little Blakenham, Great Blakenham, and then back into Needham Market that way.

"I would say it's an extra 15 or 20 miles a day. Heavy goods vehicles can get through it a breeze, but we have a smaller car.

"Just throwing a few flood signs up is not enough. The doctor's surgery is also on the other side of this lake."
