A 20-mile stretch of the A14 will be closed overnight on Friday.
National Highways has confirmed the westbound carriageway will be closed due to works being carried out.
Closures will be in place from 8pm until 6am from junction 51 at Needham Market and junction 43 at the St Saviours Interchange near Bury St Edmunds.
The reason for the road shutting is currently unclear.
It comes after a series of overnight closures on the Orwell Bridge.
