A large emergency service presence responded to a car that has flipped onto its roof in a crash on a country road this morning.

Suffolk police, fire and rescue and the ambulance service were all called at around 10.40am today to reports of a crash and a diesel spill on Peasenhall Road in Walpole.

The one car involved ended up flipped upside down.

Peasenhall Road has been closed from Bramfield Road in Walpole to Dunwich Lane in Peasenhall as diesel spilled across the road in the crash.

This is the second time this morning that a car has ended up on its roof while driving on a Suffolk road.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said that the driver of the vehicle was assessed by an East of England ambulance crew, but that it doesn't appear that any serious injuries have been sustained.

Two fire crews attended but had left the scene before 11.30am.

Recovery arrived at the scene at 12.35pm and the road has now been reopened.
