Five Suffolk businesses have reached the final of a major national food award.
The Eat Game Awards celebrate the best producers and retailers across the country in the industry.
Suffolk has seen five businesses nominated for accolades across three different categories at the 2024 awards
Lavenham Butchers, near Sudbury, has been selected among the finalists for the best game butchers category, alongside Wild Game Meat in Bury St Edmunds, The Wild Meat Company and Maisebrooke Farm Shop.
Both The Wild Meat Company, which is located in Blaxhall, and Maisebrooke Farm Shop have been named in the best small retailer category.
Truly Traceable pies in Halesworth has been nominated for the best added value product.
A spokesman for the east Suffolk business said on social media: "As a tiny business, we are delighted to have been shortlisted in the 2024 Eat Game Awards.
"This means a lot to us as we are not just a pie company who makes a game pie as part of their conventional meat pie range, we are a game pie company. who make a few additional conventional meat pies as part of their range."
The awards will take place in London on March 14.
