Suffolk is set to experience warmer weather than average this week as hopes for a white Christmas are dashed.
The current cold snap has caused some snow flurries across the county this week, with most having to de-ice their cars before heading out on the gritted roads.
However, warmer weather is on this way, with temperatures set to reach 10C, if not higher before the end of the week.
Suffolk will be hit by rain tomorrow, December 6, which will continue into Thursday with showers over the weekend.
The weather will steadily climb to above the 7C average for this time of year in the county until Friday, with temperatures expected to reach between 10C and 11C for the weekend.
These temperatures are similar to those expected in Madrid in Spain.

A spokeswoman for the Met Office explained that the weather is changing due to a change in the wind direction.
Unusually, the UK has been experiencing cold gusts from the northeast, which is why the weather has been so cold recently.
Now the wind direction, which is from the southwest, will be bringing waves of warmer air across Suffolk.
Tonight will still be cold, with temperatures expected to settle at around 0C.
Looking forward, hopes for a white Christmas may have been dashed as the weather forecast suggests that the weather will be unsettled on December 25, with wet and breezy weather expected.
