A woman has been assaulted after getting out of her in a Suffolk town.
Police were called to Hollingsworth Road in Stowmarket at about 9.45pm on Monday following reports that a woman had been assaulted.
It has been reported to Suffolk police that a woman was taking a phone call when an unknown person approached her from behind with an unknown weapon and assaulted her.
The suspect is then believed to have run off towards Ipswich Street.
The victim was treated for her injuries by a friend who is a first aider.
