Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of a person trapped in a car with water up to the door sills in a Suffolk town this morning.
Rescue crews were called at around 8.50am after a VW Golf became stuck under flood water in Quay Lane in Reydon, on the outskirts of Southwold.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue said that they believed that people were stuck in the vehicle, but managed to free themselves and get to safety.
Several rescue crews were on their way to the scene but were stood down after the people confirmed they were safe.
Quay Lane remains flooded in Reydon and drivers are encouraged not to drive through flood water.
