A Suffolk village was the coldest place in the UK overnight, it has been revealed.
Freezing temperatures have made their way to the county, with weather warnings in place for snow and ice.
While temperatures dropped below freezing for most of Suffolk, one village was the coldest place in Britain overnight.
EAST: Santon Downham was the coldest place in the whole of the UK last night*, recording a minimum temperature of -6.6°C. This is the coldest November night at this site, and in the region as a whole, since 2016.

Dan Holley, a weather expert and meteorologist, has confirmed temperatures to -6.6 degrees, the coldest in Suffolk for seven years.
The Met Office weather warning will remain in place until Friday.
