A murder investigation has been launched after the death of a woman in Newmarket.
Police were called to Exning Road at 9.55am this morning.
Upon entering a property, officers discovered the body of a woman.
Paramedics were also in attendance, but the victim, a woman aged in her 40s, was declared deceased at the scene.
Two men, a 47-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, have been arrested on suspicion of murder, and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Two police cordons remain in place in Exning Road as the police continue with their enquiries.
Although the detectives on the case believe that this is an isolated incident, there will be an increased police presence - including un-uniformed officers - in the area to help put residents at ease.
People are encouraged to approach the officers to discuss any concerns they may have.
Any witnesses or anyone with any information that could help the police with this enquiry are asked to contact the Major Investigation Team through Suffolk Constabulary and quote crime reference 37/68826/23.
