It could drop to as low as -4C in parts of Suffolk this week as forecasters say there is a chance of snow.
The Met Office has warned that some rural places could see temperatures drop below freezing with some places even seeing snow fall later this week.
Snow is expected to fall in places such as Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury on Thursday.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Tuesday will be a colder day with showers along the east coast and overnight there is a chance some of these showers could fall as snow.
"Wednesday will be a drier day and temperatures will fall significantly overnight into Thursday when lows of -3C to -4C are possible.
"Thursday looks to be fairly dry and cold, with the chance of some showers again in the north of East Anglia and down the east coast.
"There is uncertainty in the forecast by the end of the week though it will remain cold with the chance of snow."
