An east Suffolk pub has been named among the best in the UK this winter.
The Ship, an award-winning pub in Dunwich, has been selected by The Guardian as one of the best watering holes to stay at and enjoy a winter walk.
Writing in the guide, the national newspaper pointed to its rich history as a busy medieval port.
It also highlighted the cosy interior inside the pub, with its exposed beams and wood-burning fire.
After enjoying a delicious lunch, the newspaper advises visitors to enjoy a long walk along the Suffolk coast.
It is not the first time the pub has been recognised by national press.
In 2022, The Times named it among the most dog-friendly pubs in the UK.
