Suffolk dialect expert Charlie Haylock has become quite a celebrity in his home county over the last decade.
His books looking at the lighter side of Suffolk life led to his being asked to train Ipswich-born actor Ralph Fiennes to talk proper Suffolk before he took on the role of Basil Brown in The Dig about the discovery of the Sutton Hoo burial ground.
When Mr Haylock was awarded an honorary degree by the University of Suffolk guests hoped his acceptance speech would be a bit special.
They weren't disappointed - it was a three-minute lecture about the meaning of the word Up that had many of those watching rolling with laughter.
The university recorded his words for posterity to give our readers the chance to see a real Suffolk wordsmith at his best!
