A serving Suffolk police officer has appeared in court to deny sexually assaulting a woman.
Kevin Horton, an inspector with Suffolk police, appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with one count of sexual assault.
The 54-year-old, of Lower Street in Stanstead, near Sudbury, has denied the charge.
Horton has been suspended from Suffolk police, a spokesman for the force had previously confirmed.
He will stand trial at Norwich Crown Court with a date to be set at a hearing on December 22.
