The trial of a 23-year-old man charged with aggravated vehicle taking and causing serious injury by dangerous driving on the A12 will ‘likely’ take place on Wednesday next week.
Harry Parnell, of Butley, has previously pleaded guilty to unlawfully taking a BMW but not guilty at a plea and trial preparation hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on February 21, 2022 to causing serious injury to a woman by driving the BMW116 dangerously on the A12 at Kelsale on April 21, 2021.
The court heard previously that the BMW allegedly driven by Parnell was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa.
The court heard on Friday, November 24 that the momentum of the BMW shifted back the Corsa by 9m after the collision.
Judge Martyn Levett said the trial date was "likely" to be Wednesday, November 29 but that may change depending on the availability of the prosecution and witnesses.
