A man remains in a serious condition after a two-vehicle crash which closed the A14 in both directions.
Emergency services, including two air ambulances, were called to the eastbound carriageway at about 6.45am on Monday.
The A14 was closed in both directions while police, fire and paramedics attended the scene.
A man was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge by road ambulance with serious injuries.
A spokesman for Suffolk police confirmed the man remains in a serious condition.
Officers arrested a man at the scene on suspicion of drug driving, the spokesman confirmed.
Police has since confirmed he has been released under investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage in the area is being asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Suffolk police on 101, quoting crime reference number 37/67303/23.
