An east Suffolk pub could reopen in time for Christmas after it was revealed new tenants had been found.
It was announced in October that The Plough in Wangford had closed its doors due to rising costs and staff shortages.
Adnams, which runs the pub, told this newspaper it would explore all options for the establishment in the hopes of securing a sustainable operating model for the future.
The pub looks set to reopen under new management, with the hope that it can reopen in time for Christmas, Adnams has now confirmed.
A spokesman for Adnams said: "Adnams is very pleased to be able to share that we do now have new tenants identified for The Plough.
"While we are not able to confirm a reopening date at the current time, we very much hope to be welcoming customers in time for Christmas."
'Opening soon' advertising has also appeared on the pub's website.
