A police officer has been injured after she was hit by a car which did not stop.
The incident happened in the Avenue in Newmarket shortly after 2.45am this morning, November 12.
The vehicle failed to stop and the police officer was taken to hospital.
Her injuries are not described as life-changing or life-threatening.
The vehicle involved is believed to be light in colour and travelled from the direction of the High Street into the Avenue.
Suffolk police are particularly keen to hear from three people seen on foot in the Avenue at the time who are believed to be witnesses.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Suffolk Constabulary on 101.
