A new hair salon has opened in a Suffolk market town after the owners were attracted by the "lovely, relaxed" vibe and "beautiful boutiques".

Co-owners Chloe Beales and Stacey Roberts have started C S Advanced Hair in Thoroughfare, Woodbridge, having previously worked at Baiss and Co hair salon in St Peter's Street, Ipswich.

The pair, who have more than 20 years combined experience in hairdressing, are joined by colleague Chelsey Compton, who also worked at Baiss and Co.

Chloe said: "I have always wanted to open my own salon and then Stacey and me started talking about it and we decided to set up together."

Of the decision to open in Woodbridge, she added: "We wanted to start our business In Woodbridge town centre as we feel it has a lot to offer with beautiful boutiques, independent eateries with some well know names here too.

"It's a lovely town with a relaxed feel which is what we want our customers to feel when visiting us. Also, the parking is very reasonable.

"When we were looking for a location, we knew we wanted to have a bright airy space, so we decided to take on two shops and combined them as one to create this amazing space."

Chloe said appointments would be mainly through bookings, although they had seen quite a few 'walk-in' customers since opening on Tuesday.

The salon will be having an official launch on Sunday when customers will receive a special offer of 10% off their first appointment.

Stacey and Chloe have been in the industry 17 and seven years respectively, while Chelsey has been working in hairdressing for 15 years.
