A 62-year-old man has died after he was found in a Suffolk woodland.
Suffolk Police, Lowland Search and Rescue (SULSAR) and a National Police Air Service helicopter were all spotted in Thurston yesterday while the emergency services hunted for missing man Martin Canter.
He was last seen at his home in the village at around 10pm on Wednesday, November 8.
Suffolk police released an appeal yesterday after his family became concerned for his welfare.
A man was found just after midnight this morning following the day-long search effort in Thurston and the surrounding area.
The team found him unresponsive in the woodland between Thurston and Great Barton.
The man was taken by ambulance to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
The body has not yet been formally identified but is believed to be that of missing man Martin Canter, and his family has been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
