Plans for new signage at a former town centre clothes shop which shut earlier this year have been approved, as a popular bookshop chain is set to move in.
M&Co at 10 North Street in Sudbury closed its doors for the last time in April after the company entered administration last December.
Plans for the unit were submitted to Babergh District Council in October seeking permission to put up three advertisement signs for a Waterstones bookshop.
The proposals, which were approved by council planners on November 9, will see the M&Co blade sign removed from the building and replaced with a Waterstones sign.
Large Waterstones lettering will also replace the main shop sign with a smaller Waterstones sign on the brick façade of the building to the right.
The plans state that the existing shop front would be retained and repainting would take place where necessary.
Plans also suggest a new paint colour for the building is still to be confirmed.
Waterstones currently has locations in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and Lowestoft.
Signs on the Sudbury store say the Waterstones shop will open soon.
