An east Suffolk pub owner was "pleasantly surprised" after Ed Sheeran popped in for a pint with his friends.
The Shape of You star was spotted at The Rumburgh Buck near Halesworth on Saturday afternoon.
Stella Cattermole, who runs the Mill Road establishment, said Sheeran was out for a friend's birthday.
"He is a very normal chap who was going for a drink with his mates," she said.
"One of his mates, it was their birthday and they had come up for lunch and invited him.
"We were pleasantly surprised."
The superstar, who still lives near his hometown of Framlingham, "did not think twice" to pose for photographs with customers, according to Ms Cattermole.
She added he was watching his beloved Ipswich Town on his phone while at the pub, as they came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 away to Birmingham City.
Sheeran has been enjoying spending time in Suffolk in recent weeks, taking in an Ipswich Town game at Portman Road and visiting a Stowupland fish and chip shop.
The Rumburgh Buck was named the Suffolk CAMRA pub of the year for 2023.
