Parts of Suffolk could be hit by 70mph winds as the county braces for another storm this month.
The Met Office has said that coastal areas are at risk of being hit by the 70mph winds as Storm Ciarán is set to batter the region this week.
Weather forecasters initially issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds in Suffolk from midnight to 6pm on Thursday, November 2.
However, the Met Office has now extended the warning so that it is now in place from 9pm on Wednesday to midnight on Friday morning.
A spokesman for the Met Office said coastal areas could see winds of up to 70mph whereas inland it is only expected to reach 60mph.
The Met Office has warned that these winds could be potentially damaging and said that there is a small chance that roads, bridges and railway lines could close, with delays and cancellations to bus, train, ferry services and flights.
It has also warned that there is a small chance that flying debris will result in a danger to life, and that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and homes.
