An emergency 20-mile road closure will be put in place on the A14 through Suffolk to allow for pothole repairs to be carried out.
The westbound carriageway will be shut between junction 43 near Bury St Edmunds and junction 51 for Needham Market from 8pm on Friday until 6am on Saturday.
National Highways is closing the road to complete emergency pothole repairs.
The eastbound carriageway will be shut between 8pm on Monday and 6am on Tuesday.

Diversion routes will be in place.
On Friday, traffic will exit at junction 51 and travel along A140 to Diss and along A143 before re-joining the A14 westbound at junction 43.
On Monday, traffic will exit at junction 43 and travel along A143 and A140 before re-joining the A14 eastbound at junction 51.
