A new building and seating deck at a popular Suffolk riverside cafe is taking shape in a new project photo.
Work is currently taking place at Ferry Quay in Woodbridge, where a cafe has stood for the last seven decades, with the most recent, the Caravan Cafe, proving a popular venue with residents and visitors alike.
The building's timber frame and roof is now clearly visible above barriers erected around the construction site.

In November 2022, the EADT reported how East Suffolk Council had granted the site owners permission to replace the caravan with a new building and seating deck- a contemporary version of the caravan.
The previous building on the site was demolished to make way for the new facility, which is set to have a kitchen with a serving hatch and a covered outdoor seating area.
The building is set to be raised up to provide protection against any possible flood water.

The Caravan Cafe closed in September 2021 and the landlords, Woodbridge Quay Company, said the plans for the new building had been driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for a 'spacious, open and outdoor' seating area to encourage customers to feel safe.
The landlords said: "The café has had to adapt since 2020 due to the pandemic and as a result the outdoor scaffold seating area has been provided to encourage customers to continue using the facility.
"This solution is adequate in the summer months, but in the winter months there is no outdoor covered seating.
"The indoor seating area is limited and customers have been reluctant to dine in and sit at tables close to each other. As a result, the business has suffered, making it financially unviable.
"The main drive behind the current application, therefore, is to provide a spacious, open, outdoor and sheltered seating area, to encourage customers to continue visiting the café and feel safe while they dine."
