A Suffolk hotel is celebrating after being named one of the best cosiest seaside stays in the UK.
The Suffolk, in Aldeburgh, was selected by The Times as one of the best places to visit at the seaside this winter.
Famed for its Sur-Mer restaurant, the hotel opened in August 2022 with six bedrooms named after local landmarks.
Owner George Pell believes the recognition helps to put the whole county on the map.
"It is amazing to feature in these things. You work towards that recognition," he said.
"It's been a brilliant journey. Getting to restore the building was such a privilege.

"Working in Suffolk with such good people is a good feeling. It feels great because it is a local effort.
"It feels good to try to put Suffolk on the map. I feel more pride in that sense."
Writing in the guide, experts said: "The bedrooms have retained some of the original features of the former inn, such as the restored terracotta floor tiles, and bathrooms are decked out in blue scallop shaped tiles."
