Part of a major route through west Suffolk is closed while urgent roadworks are carried out.
The A143 in Stanton is shut in both directions while Anglian Water carries out essential work on Monday morning.
A hole has been dug up across the road as works continue throughout today.

A driver got their car stuck in a ditch in Stanton, near Bury St Edmunds, at about 8.15am on Monday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the car allegedly drove into the trench, despite the road being blocked by roadworks.
Roadworks are taking place in the village near Bury St Edmunds until October 7, according to one.network.
Anglian Water has been approached for comment on the hole.
