A dinner party and wine shop has been opened in Suffolk by one of the team behind The Greyhound Inn in Pettistree.

Cassidy Hughes, an interior designer based in Little Bentley, has opened Fruit & Flower in New Street in Woodbridge.

Ms Hughes has opened the shop with two friends after their love for hosting dinner parties was realised.

"My two friends live in the United States and we don't see a lot of each other, so when they visit we try to make each meal together really special," said Ms Hughes.

"We love spending time with each other over dinner and wanted others to have that experience too."

Ms Hughes is originally from New York but spent 20 years in London before moving to Suffolk two years ago to help design the interior of The Greyhound Inn in Pettistree, which has recently appointed a new head chef.

The shop will sell everything needed to dress a table for an event, as well as nibbles, cards and European wines that are mostly organic and made by small producers.

There will also be recipe inspiration cards available and Ms Hughes plans to expand into selling more food provisions as the business grows.

Fruit and Flower is open Thursday to Sunday at the moment, but Ms Hughes plans to expand the opening hours in the lead-up to Christmas, as well as launch some wine-tasting events.
