A catering business owner cannot stop grinning as she prepares to open her first ever store in a well known coffee shop.
Quality Eats, owned by Danie Curd, will be opening in Lawson Place on the Moreton Hall estate in Bury St Edmunds.
"I feel like the Chesire cat- I just can't stop smiling," said Danie, "It's an absolute dream come true".
The new store will replace The Coffee House which announced its closure after 13 years earlier this week.
The Coffee House owners, Jessica Darnell and Lucy Newell, approached Danie at the beginning of the year, offering her the property before it went on the market.
"I feel very honoured to have been asked by them", said Danie.
Quality Eats announced the news on social media and said: "This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I have worked so hard for this".
Danie has been a part of the catering industry for sixteen years, rising through the ranks to take her from potato peeler to opening her first shop.
She set up Quality Eats just before the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.
"It was like the stars aligned for me, I had all this time to focus on the business."
"It wasn't always easy- I had no day off for the first eight months".
The shop will have a large glass cabinet to display the food on offer including a range of sweet and savory baked goods.

There will also coffees and a range of menus for the whole family to enjoy- including treats for the dog.
Danie hopes the new store will be up and running by the start of the school half term in October.
