A man has been arrested after he allegedly made threats to kill and for being in possession of an offensive weapon in a north Suffolk village.
Police, including armed officers, were called to reports of concerns for safety for a man at a home in Woodcutters Way in Lakenheath at about 2.15pm on Sunday.
On arrival officers arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of making threats to kill and being in possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
He was taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre where he remains for questioning.
In connection with the incident, police also had cause to stop a vehicle nearby and arrested the driver of the car, a man in his 50s, on suspicion of being in possession of offensive weapons in a public place.
He has since been bailed to return to police at a later date.
