The A14 eastbound was closed in west Suffolk following a crash.
The eastbound carriageway was been shut after the multi-vehicle collision between junction 37 and junction 38 on Friday afternoon.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene just before 3.30pm to reports of a two vehicle crash involving a horsebox.
Multiple fire engines attended the scene including two from Newmarket and one from Bury St Edmunds.
There were no reported injuries and the horses were safely transferred from the damaged horsebox to a new one.
The road was cleared just before 4.30pm and has now reopened.
