Suffolk's only cat café will be opening soon, as the first signs are put in place.

Shelley Smith is set to open her "dream" business which is called Finnegan's Whiskers Cat Café in North Street in Sudbury later this year.

"Obviously I am a massive cat lover and I have got three of my own, so it is a bit of a dream come true that I have been able to get it to a reality."

The cat café is expected to open by the end of October.

People will be able to book an hourly slot to visit the cat café.

Mrs Smith said that the cats that will be homed at the café will be from the organisation Mel's Rescue and people will have a chance to adopt the cats.

Although no food will be prepared at the premises Mrs Smith is working with local suppliers and will be offering cakes, brownies, savoury pastries and a range of hot and cold drinks.

Mrs Smith said there will be weekly sessions at the café including a quiet hour, over 60s coffee morning, and arts and crafts.
