An award-winning Suffolk village has been named among the best places in the UK for a solo trip.
Lavenham has become one of the most popular places to visit in the county due to its historic and beautiful High Street, delicious restaurants and picturesque countryside.
National newspaper The Guardian has selected the village has one of the best places to visit when travelling alone in the country.
"The most picturesque of Suffolk’s historic wool towns, Lavenham has a slow-paced arty feel, with a number of art galleries and boutiques that offer an excellent afternoon’s browsing," experts said.

Number Ten Wine Bar & Kitchen was recognised as one of the best places to eat at in the village, while The Guardian recommend The Swan as a place to stay.
It is not the first time that Lavenham has scooped national recognition.
A survey by Which? revealed it was one of the top 10 villages in the UK.
