A teenage girl was left distressed after she was struck by an egg while sitting on a bus.
Officers were called to Vinery Road in Bury St Edmunds at about 4.40pm on Wednesday, September 13 after the bus had stopped following the incident.
According to Suffolk police, it is understood the egg had been thrown by someone sitting on the top deck of the bus.
The girl was not injured in the incident but was left distressed as a result.
Suffolk police has confirmed it is treating the incident as assault and will be reviewing CCTV footage.
