An independent bookshop in a Suffolk town has revealed when it is set to move to its new premises.
Kate Harris has run Harris & Harris Books in Clare High Street for more than a decade, having opened in 2011.
The bookshop has become highly regarded among enthusiasts, and revealed it would be moving to a bigger premises after 12 years.
Its new site will be only a few doors down in the former Hudgies Hardware, which shut during the Covid pandemic.
"We are moving down the road. It has been a really long time coming," said Mrs Harris.
With building works nearing completion, a date for the new shop opening has been announced.
"I thank you all for your patience, and I am pleased to report that Harris & Harris should be open on or around October 14, which happens to be National Bookshop Day.
"We have still got so much to do, but that is what I am hoping for. Please come and see us in our new shop."
