He has pleaded not guilty to murdering 41-year-old Agris Leigavnieks, of Old School Close, Leiston, on October 17 last year.
Police were called by the ambulance service at 8.50pm on Monday, October 17, to reports that a man had been assaulted at an address in Old School Close.
The victim was taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance where he later died.
Kantors’ trial, which is expected to last up to five weeks, is expected to get underway on October 30.
Judge Martyn Levett remanded Kantors in custody.
